We invite you this week to highlight your favorite FEMALE MINISTER in the comment section below. Participants will be placed in a drawing for an autographed copy of Yesterday’s Promise by Vanessa Miller and a $25 Gift Card. Vanessa stops by my blog today to highlight one of her favorite female ministers.

But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.” –Philippians 3:7

Charlotte D. McGuire is devoted to fulfilling Christ’s mandate for all believers to advance the kingdom of God. With the love of Christ she has demonstrated the gospel to the community by lending her voice to the underprivileged, aging, disabled, and to troubled youth as the Project Director for Montgomery County Juvenile Court’s Reclaiming Futures. In her own local house of faith, Joshua Christian Ministries (JCM), she is the First Lady, Chief Administrative Officer, and a Coach for Life for the Liberty Initiative.

Her husband of 35 years, Pastor Arthur McGuire Sr., says, “she is a three-dimensional” woman – possessing the attributes of a woman of prayer, unshakable faith, and a woman who lives a blameless life using the wisdom of God.” And JCM’s Kingdom Women Fellowship crown her their inspiration and model of Godly womanhood.

Charlotte and Pastor McGuire have been married for 36 years, have three adult children, and are the proud “Pappie & Queenie” of their first grandchild.

Joshua Christian Ministries, 800 Bigger Road, Kettering OH, 45440 (937) 436-1JCM – The Ministry of Triumphant Believers Walking in Promise to Fulfill The Purpose of The Triumphant Church

About the Book

Melinda Johnson has always felt called to ministry. So, when her father, Bishop Langston Johnson, decides to step down after thirty years of leadership at Omega Christian Center, it seems only natural for her to take his place. But Bishop Johnson feels led by a God who has other things in mind, and to succeed him, he appoints Steven Marks-a man who is opposed to female pastors, not to mention the fact that he is Melinda’s ex-fiancé.

Feeling defeated, Melinda nevertheless maintains her position as the church’s Missions and Community Outreach Director. Frequent interaction with the new bishop incites bitter sparring-and rekindles long-suppressed attraction, which grows only stronger when Melinda develops a relationship with Steven’s precious daughter, Brianna, who’s still struggling with the death of her mother.

Can Steven and Melinda set aside past pains, forgive each other, and learn to love again? Or will their opposing positions regarding women preachers keep them forever at odds?
